Rochdale Harriers and A.C.

Parkrun Tourism

17th January 2018

Club members are encouraged to support their local parkrun event, and Rochdale Harriers members are the backbone of both Watergrove parkrun and Queen’s Park Junior parkrun, but in addition to regular running and volunteering locally a group of Rochdale Harriers are getting out and about visiting a wide range of other parkrun events.

Over the last few months they have visited Huddersfield, Worsley Woods, Burnage, Sale Waterpark, Stretford and Haigh Woodland in Wigan. The next trip will be to Burnley on Saturday 13th January. Details are usually posted on Twitter and Facebook, but if you are interested in joining us, please contact Brian Moore, who will add you to the WhatsApp group.

It is worth mentioning the Rochdale Harriers king of parkrun tourism, former men’s captain Ian Stainthorpe. Ian has to date completed 213 parkruns at a remarkable 86 different parkrun locations.
